Biography

I specialise in Identity and Access Management, focusing on how identity, access, and governance decisions shape risk, accountability, and outcomes during organisational change. My background in business analysis informs how I approach IAM. I do not treat identity as a purely technical implementation, but as a system of decisions about who should have access to what, under which conditions, and with what level of oversight. This allows me to design IAM solutions that align with real organisational structures, operating models, and regulatory expectations. I have worked across public sector, enterprise, consulting, and security focused environments, supporting identity lifecycle design, access control models, IAM and PAM initiatives, and governance driven change. My experience spans requirements definition, access risk assessment, stakeholder alignment, and the translation of security controls into business meaningful decisions. I work across commercial and open source IAM platforms, with current hands on lab work exploring WSO2 in identity federation and API driven access control. Alongside this, I build and teach IAM concepts through hands on labs and practical training, reinforcing architectural thinking across Active Directory, Okta, and identity governance models. I am particularly interested in how emerging technologies such as AI expose weaknesses in identity and access controls. I view Responsible AI not as a standalone discipline, but as a risk domain that depends on strong identity, access, and governance foundations. Without clarity over identity, privilege, and accountability, AI systems cannot be responsibly operated at scale. Currently, I work as a Senior Business Analyst while consolidating my career toward IAM architecture and consulting, with a long term focus on designing business aligned identity and access solutions for complex and regulated organisations.
